Field Development Studies
Ship & Offshore provides floating production/storage system input into screening studies for oil and gas field development options. Such studies take into consideration environmental conditions, projected recoverable reserves, field location, depth of water, etc., to determine the optimal solution for development. A considerable database has been established which assists in the economic evaluation of all modern offshore field development options, including:-

  • FPSOs/FSOs;
  • Fixed Platforms;
  • Compliant Towers;
  • Semi-Submersibles;
  • Jack-Ups;
  • SPARS; and
  • TLPs.
Once selected, further studies may be conducted to further evaluate a particular option. This may lead into additional work being conducted in the area of mooring design and vessel acquisition, conversion or modification.
